The Trident Fitness Warrior Grind
Cycling 250 Miles in two days! Raising money for Operation Restored Warrior!
There is an epidemic in the ranks of our US Service Members. More and more Service Members (active duty and veterans) are turning to suicide to end the many stresses they face after experiencing combat tours. Join us this September 28-29, 2013 as we set off on a 250 mile endurance cycling challenge to raise money and awareness to effectively treat these heroes. 100% of the ticket proceeds will be dontated to the Operation Restored Warrior organization. They provide a program called "Drop Zone," which helps them get back on track emotionally and spiritually, set goals, and realize their purpose, among many other things. This is what our service members need, not more drugs!
Each rider or team of riders will be responsible for raising money for their place in the Warrior Grind. This will make each rider or team get intimately involved with the cause and keep them focused and excited about the challenge they are taking on. It is estimated that entering one Veteran through the ORW Drop Zone program costs roughly $2,000. So the entrence fees/goals are based on a tangible number that makes each rider or team of riders personally responsible for saving a Veterans life! If a rider or team comes up short they will still be able to participate in the event, but remember this is a fundraiser, so please try your hardest to reach these goals. Our service members' lives are on the line!

Team Cost $5,000.00 (save 3 Veterans!!!) Note: A Team consitsts of 5-10 riders.

The ride will start at 8 am sharp on Saturday, Sept. 28th at the Sanford Orlando Kennel Club on Dog Track Road in Longwood, FL. The riders will be given the route directions and will make their way 125 miles south to the Navy SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce, FL. Here, riders can take a break, get some sleep, and have some food before riding back to the starting location on Sunday, Sept. 29th for a total of 250 miles. This is sure to be a challenge, but that is how Trident Fitness rolls! The greatest motivation the riders will have is the support of the people who are backing them with their donations, and the fact that each rider will know that every mile they ride, the closer they are to saving the life of a Veteran, who at one point would have done the same for them! This is the true reward!
Following the event will be our post-ride celebration at the Sanford Orlando Kennel Club. Doors open at 6pm and riders are expected to return between 6-8pm. All are invited to support our riders and this incredible cause, so please join us! Get your ticket today for the After Party! Ticket includes: Buffet, free non-alcohol beverages, 3-raffle tickets, and a donation to the ORW! Live DJ, live performances, auctions, raffles, prizes, t-shirts, and most of all good people helping veterans in need! Tickets are $20!
-All riders must arrive no later than 7 am on September 28th for check in.
-Riders' vehicles can be parked and left in the parking lot for the duration of the event.
-We have a vehicle and trailer that will accompany the event and take any equipment or gear the riders may need down to the Navy SEAL Museum and back, so they don't have to carry any extra weight.
-The Navy SEAL Museum is going to try and provide enough cots for the riders to sleep on, but we reccomend that you bring a sleeping back, pillow, and ground pad. These items can be put in the trailer and brought down.
-Local fire departments will be hositng check points for riders to stop at about every 20-30 miles of the ride for riders to rest, hydrate, and eat.
